Virtual Special and Lunch Schedule 2024-2025

"Baltimore County Public Schools will engage in 3 traditional snow days in which schools close completely. Once the 3 days have been implemented, we will move to virtual snow days for any snow/weather related closings after we have exhausted the 3 traditional inclement weather days.
Student devices will come home nightly this winter, so students are able to participate in virtual instruction should Baltimore County Public Schools close for inclement weather. Your student's attendance for a virtual day is based on students logging into their classroom for the day.
On a virtual snow/inclement weather day, class will begin at 10:30am and end at 3:30pm.
Students will log into Google Meet at 10:30am with their homeroom teacher for attendance and to begin their day. Each class will break for a 30-minute lunch and have a 30-minute special.
Students will use their teacher’s last name followed by VCE to login to their class. For example, if their teacher is Ms. Gosnell, they will use the code “gosnellvce” to enter the virtual classroom. All codes are in lower case, and some names have been modified to a shorter version. Please review the documents above for your child's classroom code if needed.
Lunch and special area class schedules are also posted above. Teachers will give students directions on how to switch rooms when it is time for special area classes and their lunch break. This schedule is also posted above so you have an idea of when these switches will occur.
If virtual learning occurs on an IEP Team or SST Team Day, teams will begin with the first team after the 10:30am start time. That means that any teams scheduled to begin prior to 10:30am will be cancelled and rescheduled.  Parents should use the Google Code provided in your confirmation email to join the meeting.
Thank you for your support of Villa Cresta Elementary and Baltimore County Public Schools as we work to engage in online learning during upcoming snow days!"
