About the Teacher

                                        Meet the Teacher

     Mrs. Edwards has been teaching for seventeen years. This is her thirteenth year at Villa Cresta. She is currently teaching second grade. She previously taught first grade at Villa Cresta. She taught first grade at Johnnycake Elementary in Baltimore County for three years. Mrs. Edwards taught first grade in Prince George's County for one year.

     Mrs. Edwards has a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education from Towson University. She also has her Master's Degree in Reading Education from Towson University. Mrs. Edwards is a certified reading specialist and K-12 reading teacher. Mrs. Edwards has also taken Sign Language I and II as well as many technology courses.

     Mrs. Edwards is the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics Coordinator at Villa Cresta. She enjoys organizing the school's Science Fair.

Mrs. Edwards has been married for thirteen years. She has two daughters. Her husband, Jimmy, is a career Fire Captain in Baltimore County. Mrs. Edwards enjoys vacationing with her family and she loves to read.
